Current projects:
Innovate UK (Energy Catalyst 10)
Start date: April 2024
This Energy Catalyst supported project aims to show how integrating farming and energy sectors can bring economic advantages. Mandulis Energy will bring these two sectors together to foster cross-sectoral engagement, stimulate business opportunities, and partnerships between smallholder farmers in Botswana, Cambodia, Nigeria, Uganda and Zambia with larger economic players.
DFCD Scalable Climate Solutions Challenge
Start date: January 2022
The DFCD grant supports Mandulis Energy in the early development phase of the project to help fund legal costs, technical reports including a technical assessment of the project’s carbon saving potential, a supply chain analysis, site selection and the project implementation, including developing a long-term business and investment case.
FMO Scalable Climate Solutions Prize
Start date: November 2021
The waste-to-energy in Uganda project will be promote inclusion and support remote communities.
EEP Africa
Start date: February 2021
This project aims to demonstrate an innovative technology and business model for converting agricultural waste into electricity and biogas for households and small businesses.

Completed: December 2022
Scaling FAO’s innovative approach to early recovery through building capacities of crisis-affected farmers to adopt climate smart agriculture, the project linked with Mandulis Energy’s business model to provide refugee and host community households with access to affordable and reliable energy, alongside agricultural value addition.
