Enabling a NetZero solution for sustainable, clean and affordable energy

Hybrid power system for mini-grids

This method uses Solar PV and BECCS with renewable biomass to replace diesel, achieving carbon neutrality in electricity production. It captures CO₂ emissions to create high-quality engineered biochar, which is stable for around 1,000 years, or liquified CO₂ for cement. Licensed as an authorized electricity provider, Mandulis Energy serves residential, commercial and industrial connections under a 20-year license (renewable) or power purchase agreement (PPA).

Energy efficient cookstoves
(Tier IV rating)

The Tier IV rated gasifier cookstove is UN certified. It produces biochar, generating up to approximately 0.25 ton of engineered biochar per year per cookstove, with production temperatures above 500˚C. This cookstove offers clean and efficient energy usage compared to traditional wood fuel stoves. The lifespan of the cookstove is approximately 7 years.

Kyakula Pellets

The product is designed to resemble wood to promote adoption while providing reliable energy density. It is a blend of agricultural residues, including rice husks, peanut shells, coffee husks, maize cobs, and bagasse (sugar cane). When pyrolyzed in a gasifier cookstove, it results in a 4:1 conversion ratio of pellets to biochar. The product retails for approximately 25% less than traditional wood fuels, saving households money.

Biochar:
An energy by-product

Heating organic material in the absence of oxygen (pyrolysis) through a gasifier produces carbon-rich solid residues known as biochar. High-quality engineered biochar, a by-product of electricity generation, is produced at 1,100˚C and remains stable for 1,000 years, similar to lignite coal. Engineered biochar, produced at 500˚C, remains stable for over 100 years. Biochar can improve soil fertility, water retention, and overall soil health when mixed with organic biofertilizer, and can also be used as a sand replacement in cement and concrete industries.
